Course Reflective Narrative:
This course helped me satisfy MLO 4. It was very interesting to learn about Japan and the social issues that seem to not dismay. I learned more about Japan's History and how it continues to be resilient despite the many hardships. Some of the topics studied in class were: gendered labor, LGBTQ, cheap labor, hikkomori, comfort women, nuclear war, U.S invasion etc... We saw many documentaries and films. ANPO was a very interesting documentaries portraying the influence of art in a political way. It was eyeopening to know that the same problems that exist in Latin America, exist also in Japan. This course also satisfied GWAR requirement, we did a lot of writing i.e blogs, article reviews, and a research paper to complete with the requirements. In particular our weekly blogs were my favorite. Attached down below is my first blog article.
